Privacy policy

Effective October 2, 2026. This policy explains what Le Move collects when you use the Le Move app (iOS and Android), the lemove.app website and the organizer space, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

Le Move is a guide to Montréal’s music scenes, based in Montréal, Québec. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Le Move’s founder. You can reach them at bonjour-hi@lemove.app.

What we collect

  • Your app account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (if shared), your email address and an account identifier.
  • What you do in the app. The nights you save and the collectives or artists you follow, so we can show them back to you.
  • Your location, only if you allow it. It is used on your device to sort nights by distance. We don’t store it.
  • Your calendar, only if you allow it. The app adds the nights you choose. We don’t read your other appointments.
  • Notifications, only if you turn them on. Reminders are scheduled on your device. To send you organizer updates about the nights you save, we keep a notification token for your device, linked to your account and your language. It is deleted when you sign out, when you turn notifications off in the app and when you delete your account.
  • Face ID or fingerprint. The optional app lock is handled by your device. We never receive biometric data.
  • The organizer space. The email address you sign in with (using a six-digit code), your collective’s, venue’s or festival’s details, the emails of members you invite, and the images you upload.
  • The contact form. Your name, email, message and, if you give them, your organization’s name and your Instagram account.
  • Public information about nights. To present the program, we collect what organizers announce publicly (dates, venues, line-ups, ticket links). An organizer can ask us to correct or remove it.

The lemove.app website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics. The website host keeps technical logs (IP address, browser) for a short time, for security.

Why we use it

To run Le Move: your account, your saved nights, the organizer tools, replies to your messages, the security of the service and our legal obligations. We don’t sell your information and we don’t do targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and images, on servers in the United States.
  • Apple and Google, if you use them to sign in.
  • Expo, Apple and Google deliver notifications to your device, if you turn them on. They receive the notification token and the text of the notification.
  • The website host and the email service that sends sign-in codes.
  • Listening and ticketing platforms. When you play a preview or open a ticket link, you go through a third-party service (for example Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, Lepointdevente) with its own policy.

Where your information is stored

Our data is hosted in the United States, so it may be subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that protect data with encryption and access controls.

How long

Your account information is kept for as long as your account exists. Messages sent through the form are kept for up to two years, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access your information, correct it, delete it or get a copy in a common format, and you can withdraw your consent. You can delete your account in the app (Account, then Delete account) or by writing to support@lemove.app, even without the app. Deletion erases your account, your saved nights (My events in the app) and your follows. Events already added to your phone’s calendar stay there. What you published for an organizer (events, images) stays with that organizer. To exercise your other rights, write to bonjour-hi@lemove.app. We answer within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Young people

Le Move is not meant for people under 14. Some nights are 18+ only.

Changes

If this policy changes in an important way, we’ll say so here and in the app before the change applies.
